In September 2009, the National Dairy Council (NDC) developed a new packaging mark which gives consumers in the Republic of Ireland the assurance that they are supporting thousands of local jobs, because the milk or cream they are purchasing has been farmed and processed in the Republic of Ireland.
By simply choosing only milk or cream products that feature the National Dairy Council mark, you can be sure that you are:
- Buying milk that’s farmed and produced by dairies in the Republic of Ireland
- Supporting over 2,000 dairy farming families nationwide
- Backing an additional 2,500 jobs in local dairies
